Sofia is a woman dedicated to reinventing her aesthetic for a cause. It has been a total of 3 years since she last donated her hair to the Canadian Cancer Society. Since that time, Sofia has focused her efforts on personal growth which ultimately encouraged this radical hair transformation!
Yearning for a drastic change, Sofia Morado was consulted by Gabo - Advanced Dual Specialist at Civello Queen St. regarding the transformation vision.
Searching for something more than the average haircut, Gabo put his technical skills to the test while vision crafting Sofia's new look. With an open mind and a giving heart, Sofia Morado requested an edgy look - perfect for Spring. Gabo harnessed this request as an opportunity to get creative with Aveda hair colour that would cetainly lend an undeniable WOW factor!
“I continue to be inspired by some of the top artists in the industry; my biggest influencers include: Michael Black, Lupe Voss, Ricardo Dinis, Tristin Morrison, Dylan Sit and Kristjan Hayden. ”
“I started cutting the amount of hair to be donated (over 16”), then begun the colour application. I started by bleaching her hair, taking her up to a level 10.”
“I then went in to add some colourful, playful highlights - using Aveda’s pure tones from the Full Spectrum line. I chose trendy fashion colours such as blue, violet, and red and applied the colour using the balyage technique. ”
“I felt like my hair was too boring. I wanted something bold and absolutely different. I had never died my hair before, but I felt like it was time for something drastic! ”
“I finished the look cutting her hair in a graduated triangular bob, with lots and lots of texture! I thought this would compliment Sofia’s face shape and allow her to still keep some length in the front! ”
“To enhance Sofia’s striking eye-colour, I applied a base toner to achieve the super white tone and to discard any warmth out of the hair. We finished with a clear high gloss and botanical hair treatment to bring back moisture and shine to the hair.”

After 5 full hours of makeover madness, Sofia's look was finally complete just in time to take one last selfie!
